Jim Soland is an affiliated research fellow at the Collaborative for Student Growth at NWEA and is an assistant professor at the Curry School of Education at the University of Virginia. His research focuses on assessment and evaluation policy and practice, with particular emphasis on measuring social-emotional learning, test engagement, and estimating teacher and school effectiveness.
